Elli has gained 20 ounces since she began the clinic 12 days ago. Woohoo!! She is consistently taking in 3-4 ounces of whole milk with Carnation Instant Breakfast for each meal at the clinic. She is also consistently taking in about 1 1/2 ounces of pureed food at each meal, and we're trying to increase that to 2 ounces consistently. She's down to one nursing session per day, and she has only asked to nurse 2x in the past 4 days. She often asks for a "Snack", and maybe a "dweek" (drink). She has slept through the night 3 of the last four nights. What a drastic improvement!
She is doing such a great job so far that they are planning to have her graduate early! They said we will continue introducing new foods over the next two weeks, and they will also show us the protocol for texture advances, so that we aren't stuck feeding her purees forever. :-) They will also do follow up appointments for a number of weeks after she graduates to ensure that we stay on the right track and help us with whatever questions I might have.
We are thankful for the wonderful progress she has made!

Wow, what an answer to prayer! She is not only eating, but she is also sleeping. You must feel like a whole new person when you actually sleep all night! Praise the Lord for her progress!
