Gatlinburg Trip #1

We recently enjoyed a full week in Gatlinburg, TN with my whole family. We rented a cabin in the Smoky Mountains and enjoyed spending time with all 15 of us in one house!

This is the beautiful view from the deck of the cabin. On two separate nights, we saw a rainbow in this exact spot. Both nights there was a faint double rainbow, although that's hard to see in the picture.

Renting the cabin gave us rights to use the local clubhouse, which included a number of swimming pools. The one closest to us had a kiddie pool that was just Elli's size. She loved it, and she loved playing with Elsa and Hannah in it.

We also hiked up to the top of Clingman's Dome, which is the 3rd highest mountain east of the Mississippi. Apparently it was one of the mountains that was referred to as "Old Smoky", so we were literally On Top of Old Smoky. This picture is from the observation tower at the very top. It was absolutely beautiful!

We also went to the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg. I thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium, and Elli liked some of the "fishies". She sometimes got a little scared, and then she would hug Pake's neck and say "Gotchoo (Got you) Pake!" :-)
