We just found out that check-in time for Elli's surgery is at 8:45 am on Monday. We don't know exactly what time the surgery will start after that, but I am assuming it will be at least an hour later, maybe more.
The part that could be very challenging is that she's not allowed to take anything by mouth after midnight except apple juice or water, and she can only have those until 6:45 am. After 6:45, she can have nothing by mouth. Unfortunately, this is my girl who refuses a bottle (and still typically nurses once in the morning at about 4:30 am, and then again when she wakes up around 7:30). So, she will likely have nothing to eat between midnight and the surgery, unless she gets desperate enough to actually accept a bottle. So, it could be a really ugly morning!

Wow. Maybe this will be the final straw and she'll decide a bottle isn't so bad?!! We'll pray for her to sleep really well Monday morning...You know, like through the 4:30 feeding time and beyond! Seriously, you will be in our prayers! Love you! :)
We'll be thinking and praying for you guys. Have you thought about trying a cup instead of the bottle? Maybe she would take a straw sippy cup? Let us know how it goes- love you all :)
