While visiting with Dad and Lonna, we spent one afternoon at the beach. We scoped out a shady spot under the pier so that it wouldn't be too hard on Elli's eyes, and we settled in for a relaxing afternoon. The water was pretty cold, so we didn't go in the water, but Elli did have her first chance to play in sand! She was fascinated by it (and for the record, she only tried to eat it once...).
While we were at the beach that afternoon, she decided to learn how to pull herself up from a laying position to sitting, and then from sitting to kneeling...
...and then from kneeling to standing!
It was a lot of fun! I'm hoping this means that Elli will someday like the beach as much as I do. We found out while we were there that Lonna loves the beach, too, we decided we could all be beach buddies together!
